  • High Peaks Group exists to end the workplace stress epidemic. Stanford Professor Jeffrey Pfeffer, in his book Dying for a Paycheck, said the workplace is the fifth-leading cause of death in the U.S. This is unacceptable.

    We need better workplaces for a better world. Workplaces have evolved over time to become centers for stress. But it doesn’t have to be that way. New mindsets, structures, and approaches will help us let go of outmoded ways of working and adopt a more human-centered approach.

  • Paul Thallner

    Founder & CEO
    Paul Thallner founded High Peaks Group to help leaders and teams create workplace greatness: equitable, resilient, and world-class. As a past executive turned organizational consultant, he has first hand expertise in strengths based collaborative models for culture and engagement, team development, strategy design & implementation. He is a leader in the design and facilitation of leadership development programs and strengths-based, complex models for systemic change and sector-wide innovation. He is an executive group facilitator skilled in securing team alignment and acceleration. He is also an executive coach trained in narrative, strengths-based and mindfulness approaches. He serves clients in the mountain resort, insurance, law, higher ed, tech, healthcare, government and social sectors. His professional partnerships include XCHANGE Approach, The Teal Team, Take Back Work, Real World Group, Drexel University School of Education, and various industry groups.

  • Sunday Helmerich

    Consultant
    Sunday is an advocate for fostering psychological safety in learning spaces to equip folks to absorb new concepts, acknowledge current biases, and feel intrinsically motivated to make the changes necessary to create equity in their workplace. As a gender queer person, showing up authentically - and feeling the safety to do so - is very important to them. The desire to create more safe spaces in businesses fueled their decision to leave the music industry, earn a Master’s in Org Psychology, and roll up their sleeves to help organizations transform into safer, more inclusive places for all.
